Meet the Owner Shay Rice
Shay was born and raised in New York City until her family relocated to South Carolina in 2003. She planned her first event at the age of 12. Many people ask how I got started. It's a funny yet simple story. I wanted to plan a birthday party for my mother. I managed to keep it a surprise until a couple of days before the party because my sister spilled the beans. Since planning my mother's birthday party, it sparked something inside of me. Growing up and in adult hood, I have always been creative and attentive to the needs of others. I enjoy serving. It wasn't until 2019 when I decided to make Event Planning a serious business a statement my Pastor, Bishop Hezekiah Pressley Jr. made. He said "Be the best you because everyone else is taken. Enjoy you! To be someone else is to be a cheap copy, be original, be unique, be exactly what God made you". It was lock unlocking a hidden treasure. God began ministering to be and Journey with a Purpose ETI LLC was born February 2020.
